Its actually quite funny and he doesn't seem annoyed in this one. Someone already asked..what is the person saying after asking about Spielber, when he says, now this is what is annoying.
I didn´t get the question either :-k
I think DC's reaction was mostly to do with that reporter(?) not having done his homework and knowing the very obvious fact that DC has indeed worked with Spielberg before.
I think the very obvious questions these people come up with can be quite annoying.

I'm going to be the bad contrarian again here on this premier. The reporter likely was primarily there to cover TinTIn, Spielberg and maybe Bell, the main star of the film and not primarily DC who has a supporting role. The reporter may also have been young and didn't know all of DC's films. The press can be really rude to him, but I don't think this one was being rude. DC should save his put downs for the press that deserve it. It doesn't help his rep. Maybe Daniel was in a bad mood for this premier, he looked in the mirror before he came to it, and realized this awful hair cut and white beard make him look like his father. Sorry, for the unpopular view i but I think it is sabotage to do this to his good looks. And for Bond yet, not just a photo op. I also fear it is not just for one scene. Make up dept. would add a beard for one scene. I don't think he wouldn't go to the trouble of growing the darn thing for one scene.

I think, if I were a professional reporter covering a premiere with big names like Spielberg, Craig and Bell (in the UK Craig and Bell are BIG names) I have to do some homework.
I remember one of the very first interviews I've seen, where a very young and unexperienced reporter asked very dumb questions and if was obvious that Daniel immediately recognized that this reporter was very unexperienced and he went all soft and saved it.

And for growing a beard like that, well it only took two days to grow the pornstache due to all this testosterone those Leydic cells are producing   so I assume for growing the beard was neither trouble nor work involved.

And it's all personal taste, I just love this short hair, looks very masculine.

But I'm not fond of that floppy fringe he sported in DH anyway.

@Tampa - don't feel bad, its your opinion. End of story.

I feel, he only said he was being annoyed, because he was asked before - otherwise he wouldn't have said anything to the reporter IMO. I have rarely seen him being rude - a couple of times maybe and then it was deserved.

Re. beard - I think, its a lot of trouble to glue on a beard like this every morning and also its probably action scenes, too and I would think, he decided, its easier to grow one, since he had the time and he likes not having to shave at times, my two...

The top notch acting in the Weisz/Craig/Spall 'Betrayal' is emotionally true, often v funny and its beautifully staged with filmic qualities..

He didn't seem to be in a bad mood. He was very charming and amiable from what little I saw. No diff from any other premiere. If he had looked at himself in the mirror he would have seen a suave guy who is too handsome for his own good and who is not scared enough to hide behind makeup all the time to make him look younger than his 43 years. The very fact that he is showing up on the red carpet and surrendering himself to this intense scrutiny knowing his gray hair seen by all is sexy in itself. That is self-confidence right there.

He can't help his stick out ears which to me looks adorable anyway. He can't help his hair cut and the beard either if that is what is expected of him for this role. He is well groomed when compared to the likes of Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt. I think whatever DC does it is going to make someone unhappy. He is himself. nuff said.

That was the German one, right? Funnily enough, she managed to ask some interesting enough questions..

Me too, combed back, yes, but not falling into his front.

That is true about personal taste and I am with you on this hair and I have always liked some stubble on his face too - not a fan of his clean clean shaven face -no.

I like THIS face with or without hair.

There's only one thing I don't like and this is The Mother beard and the Catweazle look he sported when he was rehearsing at the glacier for Golden Compass.
But back then his lower half in those brown leather pants made up for it and I didn't look at his face that much

His hair was REAL short at the GC glacier shoot and it was at times in between for no obvious reason - to us at least. Bafta 09 or coming out of ? in that silver grey suit or on Bond Street - shorter then now.
