Everything is so subjective.
I don't know if it's a rumor or what. Whatever happens, I'm sure that they don't want to ruin their chances of cashing in on Daniel's popularity by making a flop.

I was getting a little uncomfortable reading all the comments... This thread sounds like the Craigsnotbond websiteSheKnowsWhoIam79 wrote: This thread is getting a bit mean about her. I can't imaging anybody being as skanky as all that.
You trusted Barbara Broccoli when she chose Daniel, but want to practically rip Amy Winehouse a new arse...whats up with that?
She's a talented girl.
you wanna do WHAT to me?

My thoughts exactly. Maybe Babs is considering her for the new theme song, but for a role in the movie? Why? Because she loves her music? Well that's one hell of a reason for taking such a risk. In short, I don't believe it.HappyAppy04 wrote:I don't know what to think about this. On one hand, I take it with a grain of salt, no matter how "official" it sounds. Bond girl speculation has been running rampant since CR came out.
Does she even have any acting experience?

this thread is mean.
Sorry. I didn't know people on here could be so mean. But it is like "www.amywinehouseisnobondgirl.com--or something. I mean whatever happens happens. We'll see the movie or we won't. It's odd when people say "I don't like her" about someone they've never met. It just reminds me of how people reacted to Daniel. It's a bit hypocritical to bash those people for feeling that way and reacting that way about Daniel, and then to react that same way regarding another person...isn't it? OR is this the twilight zone?

You're right, but at least people on here don't make up things about her like the weirdos at craignotbond did with Daniel.SheKnowsWhoIam79 wrote:Sorry. I didn't know people on here could be so mean. I'm not going to make any comments about her as I have only seen her in pictures. Still, I think it's just a rumour. I understand she's a singer, not an actress? I just can't see why BB would cast a singer in such an important role if she has no acting experience. And as usual, they don't give any source. Any news item with the word 'reportedly' in it makes me more than a little suspicious.
My guess is she asked her to do the theme song and the rest of the story is made up.

Here's an article...about Amy.
http://www.threeimaginarygirls.com/amyw ... e07feb.asp
I love Amy Winehouse. I think she's awesome, aside from the fact that we share a birthday--she just seems to be a real, down to earth and sort of gritty person. That is refreshing. When I listened to the album Back to Black, I immediately pictured her singing a theme for a Bond movie. The title track in particular is perfect for a Bond movie. If she does the theme that will be amazing, and I hope she does many more, sort of the way Shirley Bassey used to.
I'm thinking anyway that Vesper is the last girl that he is going to have any sort of meaningful relationship with. As I remember Bond girls weren't really all that squeaky clean and good, they are bad girls most of the time, they are usually playing both sides of the fence, and you can't tell if they are with or against him.
My guess is that even if it is true, and she is in it, it's not going to be a "Bond" girl in the sense that everyone is thinking. I think that the whole point here is the shake up the idea of what a "Bond" girl is. Whether this news is fake or not, I don't think we're going back to Ursula Andress anytime soon.
Vesper wasn't a "traditional" movie Bond girl either, she was the first girl, and she ruins him for everyone else. I hope that everyone remembers that, there will be no more love like that.
I left the tangent of Amy Winehouse for a moment...cause I'm thinking about the fact that this is from Casino Royale on a complete re-tooling of everything Bond. They aren't getting rid of the baby and the bathwater, but they are trying to re-invent something. So regardless of who they choose, don't expect them to be ordinary, or like time's past, because this is a new mood, and new era and a new time.

You only live twice or so it seems..
One life for yourself and one for your dreams...And one day I realize that I was addicted to Daniel Craig's blue eyes.

Yes this is the 21st Century, a new era and time. Remember that, we are moving away from 20th Century style of James Bond now. That why Daniel is the new James Bond to give it more fresh style and that's why he's blonde, as it gives Bond a younger look. I agree with everything that everybody say here - Amy Winehouse is not a good idea for a Bond Girl, she swears a lot and behaves immature. She is even nasty to the public, she don't care what they think of her. I don't think that is a good choice of a Bond Girl if she is going to be one.

new era for the movie look
not a new era for "James Bond" character
older novels (fleming ones) james bond was distant, professional and not too touchy feely
queen, God and country only type of agent
newer novels have soften him up
